The Gary Zimak Show

O Come Let Us Adore Him!

This week on The Gary Zimak Show, we’ll reflect on the Mass readings for the Epiphany of the Lord. Who were the wise men and what can we learn from them? Why are we sometimes like King Herod? What gifts can we offer to Jesus? We’ll answer these questions and many more on this episode of The Gary Zimak Show!

Let’s go back to the empty tomb and look at how Mary Magdalene reacted to the evidence that Jesus did indeed rise from the dead. Just like her, we often spend so much time weeping over the problems in our lives that we fail to recognize the risen Lord in our midst. We’ll discuss what finally enabled her to see Jesus and what you can do to see Him too!

Total Consecration To Jesus Through Mary – What Are You Waiting For?

Catholic speaker Gary Zimak leads Total Consecration To Jesus Through Mary on his daily podcast

Listen to internet radio with Gary Zimak on Blog Talk Radio

?I have said that this devotion may rightly be called a perfect renewal of the vows or promises of holy Baptism.? (St. Louis de Montfort)

Are you ready to renounce Satan and his works, renew and ratify your baptismal promises and make a total donation of your life to Jesus? If so, Total Consecration To Jesus Through Mary is just what you need!

What exactly is this devotion all about? Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary was popularized by Saint Louis de Montfort (1673 ? 1716), a French priest who stated that ?this devotion, faithfully practiced, is an excellent means of making sure that the value of all our good works shall be employed for the greater glory of God.?

Over the past five years, I have led close to 4,000 individuals through this process on my nightly podcast. Here are some of their comments:

I cannot thank you enough for doing this. Listening to your explanations is a big help for me. I also appreciate being able to say the prayers along with you because I get so easily distracted. Not to say that it still does not happen, but it would be a lot worse if I was doing it on my own. I have lots of areas that need improvement, but I feel confident with the Blessed Mother at my side I can do it in baby steps.

Thank you for all your help. Just wanted you to know that my husband and I are still with you and plan on making this Consecration next week. It has changed MY life in so many ways.

Thank you so much for doing this?it is very helpful to do it in a group ?this is a huge mental commitment and a leap of faith but I find your encouragement extremely inspiring!

You are doing so much good with this consecration. I would not even be doing this myself if I had not heard you on Ave Maria Radio (while I was working on the house!). You are blessing so many through your encouragement with this devotion and your thoughtful support of those who are encountering difficulties.

On Sunday, September 4, 2016 we will once again begin the 33 day period of preparation which will result in consecrating (or re-consecrating) ourselves to Jesus through Mary on October 7 and I am inviting as many of you as possible to make this consecration along with me.

This year, I am doing it in a completely unique and exciting way. Instead of using one particular book, I will be selecting our daily meditations from “The Best Of The Best” preparation methods (including books by Fr. Michael Gaitley, Fr. Hugh Gillespie and others). All of these daily meditations will be compared with St. Louis de Montfort’s guidelines to ensure that you are getting the best possible preparation.

The Total Consecration is divided into themes:

(Days 1-12) The Spirit of the World ? We concentrate on casting off the spirit of the world, which is contrary to the spirit of Jesus Christ.

(Days 13-19) Knowledge of Self ? The focus is on seeing ourselves as God sees us and looking at the effects of our sins.

(Days 20-26) Knowledge of Mary ? In order to imitate Mary?s desire to always follow God?s will, we must get to know her.

(Days 27-33) Knowledge of Jesus ? In preparation for making our Total Consecration, we?ll study the life of Jesus.

Day 34: Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary.

If you?re interested in joining me, I recommend that you listen to a 30 minute introductory podcast HERE. This will give you an idea of what to expect. Other than that, there’s nothing else you need to do – no book to purchase, no fee, no need to even leave your home. If you need a reminder, I recommend that you sign up for my email newsletter (see the sidebar to the right of this page). Beginning on September 4th, there will be a podcast available each day (by 8 PM each evening). The length of the shows will be 30 minutes (M-F) and 15 minutes (Sat-Sun). You can download the podcasts free of charge from BlogTalkRadio, iTunes or TuneIn Radio. Or you can listen to the podcast directly from my website by clicking HERE.

Please share this invitation with as many people as you can. There is no cost and no vows are involved. You?re simply expressing the desire to become a better person and taking advantage of Mary?s help. It?s a great deal!

Through the years, Total Consecration has changed many lives. Don’t just take my word for it, however. Give it a try and see what happens in your life.

See you on September 4th!

The Best Examination Of Conscience I’ve Ever Seen!

Catholic speaker and author Gary Zimak is available to speak at your parish or conference

Catholic speaker Gary Zimak discusses the examination of conscience that he read on The Gary Zimak Show tonight

As we enter the season of Lent, it’s a good practice to do a thorough examination of conscience and go to confession as soon as possible.

Here is the examination of conscience that I read on The Gary Zimak Show tonight:

Without a doubt, it’s the most thorough examination of conscience I’ve ever seen. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and then read through it slowly and prayerfully. I guarantee you will find some sins that need to be addressed. Thankfully, it’s not the end of the world. Make it a point to go to confession and receive the Lord’s forgiveness as soon as possible.

You won’t regret it!

A Simple Way To Make This Lent Your Best EVER!

Catholic speaker Gary Zimak announces the start of his annual Lenten radio retreat which begins on Ash Wednesday on The Gary Zimak Show

It’s hard to believe, but Lent is once again upon us. Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday and so it begins. Unfortunately, many people view the season in a negative light and try to grit their teeth and muscle through the next forty days. Here’s a little secret – that’s the way I viewed Lent for most of my life. Over the past few years, however, I began to see it differently. I now look at Lent as a tremendous opportunity for growing closer to Christ. With that in mind, I’d like to help you view Lent in the same way.

Starting on Ash Wednesday (February 18), I will once again be leading my annual Lenten Radio Retreat every Monday – Friday on The Gary Zimak Show. I would be honored to have you join me for 30 minutes each night as we journey together through the Lenten season. We’ll read and discuss the daily Mass readings and I’ll share some other tidbits that will help you to grow closer to Jesus. By popular demand, I’ll also lead you in my “super duper” examination of conscience. The theme for this year’s retreat is, “He must increase, I must decrease” (John 3:30) and that’s exactly what we’ll do. There is no cost, no book to purchase, no hidden costs or obligations – just an invitation from me to have a seat at my table as we discuss the “Good News” of Jesus Christ each night.

Interested? Here’s how it works:

Every Mon-Fri at 8 PM Eastern , the podcast will be available on the radio page of my website. You can listen to it directly from the Blogtalkradio player at the top of the page. You can also go to The Gary Zimak Show page on Blogtalkradio and download or listen to the show there. Finally, the podcast will appear in iTunes on the day after the show airs. You can download it free of charge.

Tonight at 8 PM Eastern on The Gary Zimak Show, I’ll talk more about the retreat and Lent. I’ll save a chair for you and I hope to see you then. As always, feel free to email me with any questions you may have. Get ready, my friends…

this is gonna be powerful!

Announcement Number Three – My Most Ambitious Project Ever!

Catholic Speaker Gary Zimak will begin discussing the Catechism of the Catholic Church on his BlogTalkRadio show

Happy New Year! Here’s the third in a series of four announcements that I’ve been making all week…

Wouldn’t it be great if we could get to know God better in 2015? Have you ever wished that you could know Jesus personally and ask Him to become intimately involved in every area of your life? Do you sometimes feel that you should know more about the teachings of the Catholic Church?

Here’s some good news for you. The Catechism of the Catholic Church will help you with each of those areas. Unfortunately, the size of the book (900+ pages) and our busy schedules can easily make us believe that it’s not practical to read through it. No problem!

On January 5, 2015 on The Gary Zimak Show on BlogTalkRadio I will begin walking through the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Together, we’ll discuss this great document for 30 minutes each night. I’ll start at the beginning and keep going until I reach the end. Whether you’ve read the Catechism before or never even looked at it, I can promise you that you’re going to hear the contents presented in a new and practical way. I’ll make every effort to ensure that you have a better understanding of God, a better relationship with Christ, a clearer understanding of the teachings of the Catholic Church and the ability to apply them to your daily life. I hope you can tune in on Monday, January 5 at 8 PM Eastern. All programs will be archived and can be downloaded from my BlogTalkRadio page and iTunes. See you on Monday!

Announcement #4 is coming tomorrow…

The Advent Radio Retreat Begins On Monday…Are You Ready?

Catholic Speaker and Author Gary Zimak is preparing to host his annual Advent Radio Retreat

Jesus said to his disciples: “Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy from carousing and drunkenness and the anxieties of daily life, and that day catch you by surprise like a trap. For that day will assault everyone who lives on the face of the earth. Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:34-36)

Are you ready to meet Jesus? Not only when He comes again in glory, not only at the end of your life, but TODAY? Advent is a time of preparation. It is a chance to do some housecleaning so that we’re ready to open the door when Jesus comes to visit. On Monday (December 1), I’ll once again be leading my annual Advent Radio Retreat on The Gary Zimak Show on BlogTalkRadio. There is no cost, nothing to buy, only takes 30 minutes a night, and you don’t even have to leave your home!

The world tells you that you have to start preparing for Christmas by shopping, partying, cleaning and baking. The Church reminds us that we also need to prepare for Jesus. I know it’s difficult, but time spent with the Lord is never wasted. I hope you’ll be able to join me on Monday at 8 PM and I’ll even save a chair for you. You can listen to the show by visiting my BlogTalkRadio page or my website.

Could this be your last Advent? Maybe, or maybe not. If you treat it like it is, you have nothing to lose!

What If This Is Your Last Advent?

Catholic speaker, author and radio host Gary Zimak announces the Following The Truth Advent Radio Retreat

Whether we like it or not, one of these Advents seasons will be our last. Could it be this year?

The Church teaches that Advent “makes present the ancient expectancy of the Messiah” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 523), but for many of us Advent gets lost in the shuffle as we prepare for Christmas. When was the last time you made use of the four weeks of Advent to prepare to welcome Christ more deeply into your life? If you’re like most people, you’re probably way too busy baking, shopping and running around to focus on spiritual matters during the Advent season. But what if this year is your last Advent on earth? Are you prepared to tell the Lord that you had more important things to do than spending some time trying to get to know Him better?

Beginning on December 1 at 8 PM Eastern on The Gary Zimak Show on BlogTalkRadio, I will be leading an Advent Radio Retreat. Every Monday-Friday for 30 minutes, we’ll look at Scripture and discuss ways to better prepare to welcome the Savior more deeply into our lives. In addition to Biblical readings, I’ll be using some rare material from out of print books all designed to bring you and Christ closer together. Simply put, there is no other Catholic radio show that will present a retreat like this. Best of all, there is no cost, you don’t have to purchase any books and you won’t even have to leave your home!

Want to learn more? Tune in tonight (Monday, November 10) at 8 PM Eastern as I discuss more about our Advent Radio Retreat. If you miss the live broadcast, you can listen to the archived podcast (after the show airs) by clicking here.

How important is it for you to grow closer to Christ this Advent? Are you willing to invest 30 minutes a night? I look forward to you being a part of this retreat. Please share the invitation with your friends and email me with any questions.

God Bless,

Are you looking for a speaker for Lent of 2015? I still have a limited number of dates available and I would be honored to speak at your parish or conference.
