Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is anything too hard for me? (Jeremiah 32:27)
At first glance, it almost seems pointless to answer this question. We all know that nothing is too hard for God. But how about if we make it more personal by changing the word “anything” to “healing my cancer”, “taking away my loneliness”, “restoring my finances”, “granting me peace in the midst of my current storm”? When we find ourselves wrestling with a difficult problem, believing that nothing is too hard for God becomes a bit more complicated.
Here’s what I wrote in Give Up Worry For Good…
How can you learn to truly believe this? Start by spending some time thinking about how he created the world and led the Israelites out of slavery. Then become familiar with the miracles performed by Jesus and read about the spread of the Early Church in the Acts of the Apostles. He has routinely done the impossible time and time again. Don’t stop there, however. Look at the miracle you need right now. Is it more difficult than creating the universe out of nothing or rising from the dead?
All this week we’re focusing on the power of God. It might not feel like it, but He can handle whatever problem you are facing right now. The more time you spend focusing on Him and what He’s done, the more you’re gonna believe it.
