Give Up Worry for Good Week 2, Day 7

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” (Matthew 28:18)

Some Bible translations use the word “power” and others (as indicated above) use the word “authority”, but a common theme emerges from this verse – Jesus is able to back up His words. Therefore, we should listen when He tells us to not worry. We should listen when He tells us to trust our Heavenly Father to provide for our needs. And, as we learned this week, we should listen when He tells us that nothing is impossible for God.

Here’s what I wrote in Give Up Worry For Good

This week, we have focused on the power of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. As he prepared to ascend into heaven, Jesus assured his followers that he did indeed have power over heaven and earth. My prayer is that his words will give you confidence as you continue your journey.

The Lord can easily handle whatever problem you’re dealing with, but He typically waits for you to ask Him for help. That will be our focus next week. I look forward to continuing our journey tomorrow. Keep up the good work.

Let not your heart be troubled!
