And this is my prayer: that your love may increase ever more and more in knowledge and every kind of perception, to discern what is of value, so that you may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ for the glory and praise of God. In the Second Reading from today?s Mass, St. Paul does a great job summarizing what Advent, and our entire life, should be about: learning what is important and living our lives accordingly. If we follow his advice, we will be ready to meet Jesus?not only on Christmas Day, but when our life on earth is over.
